Why I Like This Adsense Plugin
I don’t play a lot with adsense but today I decided to quickly build a niche site. The reason for that is pretty simple. I’ve been a beta tester for a new micro niche keyword finding tool.
Today, when I logged into the keyword tool I found a niche with a number of keywords and a matching top level domain name for the exact keyword.
This was an opportunity too good to pass up so I quickly grabbed the domain name and got started building my niche blog.
I should also add that usually I do my own keyword research, then find an seo friendly domain name, find products that I can promote etc and get someone else to write the niche articles for me.
Today was different because first of all I wanted to get the blog up straight away in case someone else grabbed the lovely keywords and domain name. Second of all the niche is one that I know extremely well. In fact, I don’t think that my writer would be able to whip up the articles as quickly as I did for this topic because I know the subject so well. This niche is not a product but a service so I quickly decided that I would build the blog as an adsense only site.
When I build adsense sites I put adsense on them and that’s it -nothing else. There’s no point in confusing a visitor. After all, I only want them to do one thing and that’s click my ad
When I was building my site I wanted to make sure that the adsense ads were in the prominent heat map positions which are optimal for adsense clicks. You can view the optimal places for adsense ads here according to Google.
If you look at a lot of adsense sites that have a high CTR then the one of the optimal places to place an ad is in your post so the text wraps around the ad.
Unfortunately, when I shuffled off to reacquaint myself with the adsense plugins available it was difficult to find a plugin that had this function, wasn’t buggy and had other features as well. Most allowed you to place adsense above a post, in the middle of a post, below a post and in widget areas. Some had cool rotating features and others allowed you to manager a number of advertising networks.
Then I found it!
Of course, the author has made it difficult to locate this plugin because the plugin is not named with anything relating to adsense. It is actually called WP Insert. It’s the plugin that I found that actually allows you to insert your ad code and the text will wrap around it. You have a choice of inserting on the left or right of your content which is handy as well. Of course, it has other features but they are the standard ones like ads above, in the middle and below the content. There are also handy widgets as well for your widgetized areas in your theme.
WP Insert also has a special section where you can add your adsense code to your rss feeds. This saves you having to install a separate plugin for this purpose. The plugin also has a spot where you can insert google analytics for tracking purposes in either your header or footer. This saves you having to go to your theme templates and is another handy feature.
The plugin also has a WYSIWIG Editor and Syntax Highlighting. I admit that I have not looked at those features properly but they do seem interesting. WP Insert is a good plugin and I think the developer has done a great job with this little plugin. More importantly, I was quickly able to set up my adsense blog just the way that I wanted.

Thanks for the plugin tip! I’m new to WP, so all this is new (and sometimes confusing). This should help my ad management …
Best to you,
