I’m a sucker for a good cause and I’m a sucker for charity. Today I get to combine both of these things.
Here’s the lowdown
A very noble young man wants to raise $10,000 to give to Asthma Research by the 19 July 2010. So, he made a bet with his Dad that he could do it.
What I like is that he didn’t:
- beg for money
- ask people for donations
- do nothing
- sober up and forget the bet!
He created a plugin called WP Syndicate. What the plugin for WordPress does is syndicate content from your blog to web 2.0 properties.
I know what you are thinking, there are already free plugins that do this. Yes, you are right and until last night I was using PingFm and HelloTxt myself 🙂 But after I asked the plugin creator a couple of questions I decided to replace my set up with WP Syndicate instead.
For me the choice was easy because:
- the plugin is less than $10 until 19 July 2010 when all bets are off
- it has more features than ping fm or hello txt (and one of these features is excellent and separates it entirely from the free versions)
- it has support
- more features will be added
- it’s for a good cause
Check it out, read the reviews and watch the video demonstration. Think of the amount of back links you could be getting and the time you’ll save then make your decision.
By the way, in case you are wondering, I’m not an affiliate for the plugin and this is not a paid review just a plugin recommendation that’s for a good cause and is an awesome plugin in its own right.
