The Kindred Posts Plugin is similar to a related posts plugin except it suggests posts based on your visitor’s past browsing history on your site. The plugin uses artificial intelligence to suggest specific posts to your visitors.
Because the plugin makes recommendations based on what your visitors are doing it can take a little while for it to build up a database of information for recommendations. After you have been using the plugin for a while you will see the recommendations become more targetted to your visitor.
To install the plugin you can search for it in your WordPress dashboard and automatically install it. Once activated you will see in the Settings menu that there is a new label called “Kindred Posts”. Simply check the radio button to “collect visitor data” and keep the default settings not to track bots to start using the plugin.
Then go to your Appearance/Widgets and drag the Kindred Posts widdget to a part of your theme where you wish it to display. You can choose to have the recommended posts display horizontally or vertically and you can choose what is displayed to the reader eg author, title, date of post.
I’ve installed the plugin on this site to test it out and you can see the widget in the sidebar. It is displaying the title of the post only.
This plugin would be great on authority sites, large sites, article directories and anywhere where there is a lot of content and visitors return to the site.
