JQuery Fade Effect WordPress Plugin

This entry is part 23 of 30 in the series 30 Day Plugin Challenge

If you have ever wanted your blog to have some fancy effects then this is a plugin that you should put on your “look at” list.     The plugin uses a JQuery fade effect to produce a transition effect (fading in and out) when either a link is clicked or when the visitor goes to a new page.

Now, this is not a plugin that would be suitable for all blogs because some people may find the effect distracting and annoying.    Where I think that it would look great is on  photoblogs.     You can imagine clicking on some great photos and then gradually easing your way into the next beautiful photo.   It may also be a winner with very small ecommerce stores providing a smart effect  for little effort.

In order to see the transition effect javascript must be installed on the browser.      This means that users should take into account that not all their visitors will be able to see the nifty fade in and fade out effect on the blog.

If you don’t have a WordPress blog (?!) then you can also download a standalone script for free from the developers site.
