Dashboard Site Preview Plugin

This entry is part 17 of 30 in the series 30 Day Plugin Challenge

Have you ever been working on the backend of  your site and you want to know what the front looks like?  Sure you have, probably every time that you’ve tweaked a theme or fiddled with plugins :)   If you are like me, you probably just open another tab and toggle between the back and front until you have got the look that you are after.

Well now you don’t have to do that anymore :)    You can now preview the front of your site from the back of your site – nifty :)   Simply install the Dashboard Site Preview plugin and activate it.    Simple.    When you are finished “playing” with your site you can just deactivate it until you need it next time.

Who is this useful for?

  • designers
  • developers
  • theme tweakers

Although this is a useful  plugin that’s not the reason that I have included it in my 30 day free plugin challenge series.

Usually, what excites me most about new plugins is the plugin.     This time,  I like the plugin but I’m more excited about the developer of the plugin :)

Happy Happy Christmas?

You see the developer for this plugin is only 10 years old! When I was 10 I could probably spell “plugin” but I was more likely to be eating lollies than learning to code plugins!

Not only is he young but he’s also an amazing action taker!   A lot of people say  they want to do something, they go to seminars, buy books then they …….don’t do anything.      It’s too hard, they  haven’t got enough money, they are missing “something” ….

Jesse Friedman went to WordCamp last year.     He didn’t come home and hang up his t-shirt and file away what he had learnt in the vault for another day.    He used what he learnt at WordCamp to create the  Dashboard Site Preview plugin.

You are never too young or too old :)
