I’m guessing that developers were busy celebrating the anniversary of WordPress this week and didn’t have time to code up much for us 🙂 That’s my way of saying it’s slim pickings for plugins this week! Of course, the repository has a number of new plugins this week. The main focus is on plugins that integrate with other platforms however. Not the usual stuff that Internet Marketers need or find usual.
Free WordPress Plugins
WP Employment – if you want to create a niche jobs board though you may find this little plugin useful
Digital Edition – bundle up your content and use it to create new posts or advertisements
Call to Action Scheduler – schedule your calls to action! I love anything that can be scheduled because it makes it easier to plan out my life.
Custom Ribbon Maker – these little corner graphics can be useful. Add your own text and use it to promote a cause, as a call to action or show support for a group
Skype Master –
Show users your skype status on your blog. Particularly useful if you offer a product or service where people may have pre-sales questions or need help and support.
Event Expresso Requirements Check – A lot of people have issues with the Event Expresso plugin. It might be a plugin conflict or it may well be a server problem. Using this plugin you can test to see if the server is compatabile. If your server is compatabile then your issues are likely to be theme/plugin related conflicts.
Linked In Master – if you want peeps to see how cool you are on Linked In then integrate your Linked In profile on WordPress
100 Cities – something for travel bloggers or professional tourists
Instant Suggest – yet another SEO plugin
Tapatalk for WordPress – if you have a wordpress based forum or blog and want to add it to the Tapatalk community and have it responsive as well then here’s the trick
Premium WordPress Plugins
Exit Cash Machine – allows you to set an optin form with a link to an offer (affiliate promotion for example) to get people before they exit your page. It is said to increase your conversions and sign ups as it is grabbing people when exiting who might not have seen enough of yoru site to see an offer. I haven’t tried it myself and at the time of writing there were no user reviews. You can read more here.
Google Hangout Plugin – if you have been attracted to using Google Hangouts for webinars then the Hangout plugin may be helpful to you. The plugin allows you to collect registrations and leads with their optin system. Users are sent reminders to join the hangout, follow ups and emails. In fact, all the things that you can do with more expensive webinar solutions you can do with this WordPress plugin:) The plugin is developed by a well known plugin developer.
At the time of writing some users have been experiencing difficulty getting the plugin working. The developer is working with them to ensure that it’s fixed and working to their satisfaction. You can see the sales page here.
