If you know me, you know I love auto blogging. In fact, I like it so much I created a product about it. I’m always interested in what is happening in the autoblogging world and how I can use changes in plugins to improve my sites.
Recently, I’ve bought quite a lot of autoblogging plugins (I’m working on a little experiment!). Most of them are difficult to use and don’t return reliable and consistent results. Not a lot of point in running an autoblogging plugin and the posts that it publishes are gibberish. My sites are about the long term not short term results – gibberish doesn’t cut it for me. I expect good quality content to be returned by an autoblogging plugin but what I want more than that is actually flexibility. I want to be able to style and customize the content, but to do it hands free. There’s no point in having an autoblog that you have to do a lot of manual labour on!
Prior to Christmas I spent about $500 on two autoblogging plugins. No, I’m not going to name names because I don’t recommend them. Having set aside time to play with them (I want a refund of my time please) I found that they were cumbersome to use but more importantly they didn’t produce the results I expected. Not only that, they lacked the flexibility to turn an autoblog into a site that offers real value to both search engines and visitors alike.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, autoblogs need some unique content. Just like any site you need to show it a bit of love. When you give your site a well though out unique bit of content you benefit your visitors and the search engines as well.
Adding unique content to autoblogs AUTOMATICALLY has always been a bit hit and miss. Sure, there are ways to do it but you do have to be prepared to fiddle with a few plugins and hold your breath. When you do it right, you get rewarded. Simple as that.
What I was looking for in autoblogging plugin for my little experiment was a plugin that allowed me to pull in content from a number of different sources, uniqueify it, add monetization and add original content regularly throughout the site without leaving a giant footprint (Yeti style lol)
Finally, I found the plugin that I should have bought rather than the ones that I did buy.
Here’s what it does
it pulls content from:
- Articles Base (article directory)
- RSS Feeds
- You Tube
- Yahoo Answers
- Yahoo News (new feature added 18 January 2011)
- Groupon (new feature added 18 January 2011)
Not only that you can add your own PLR articles and better yet automatically spin them (if you have a Best Spinner account).
It gets better
You can also add your own custom text (in spin ready form) to sprinkle throughout posts. Are you thinking about this? This means that you can insert your own keywords for on page seo automagically throughout the auto generated site together with your own call to actions (and whatever other content you might want). It’s spin ready as well so you don’t have to worry about duplicate content on your own site. Nice. You do however, need a Best Spinner account for this feature (but everyone owns the Best Spinner don’t they?)
You can add monetization methods quickly and easily with the Pro version using:
- Commission Junction

For SEO fans the plugin has another great feature that I adore. It’s the integration of the Google Wonder Wheel. The Wonderwheel helps you to quickly and easily find related keywords to your niche. The plugin incorporates the wonderwheel feature and gives you the option to make those related words into categories on your blog as well as locating the content from the Wonder Wheel to fill your blog. I don’t recommend that you no longer do keyword research because that’s always a good start to finding a good niche but using the wonderwheel feature helps you find related words which are great for building out authority on your site, picking up additional search engine traffic and helping with latent semantic indexing.
The plugin is so flexible that it allows you to customize the layout that the content is automatically published to your blog via a template system. This is an excellent feature because when you customize you are removing obvious footprints to autoblog creation. Other autoblogging plugins generally display the content in a certain way which makes it easy to notice that they are not “real” blogs. Using templates allows you to display the content any way you like.
The plugin is currently in pre-launch stage and the price goes up on the 11 January 2011. There is a manual at this stage (but videos are not done yet).
Basic – the basic version of the Plugin is limited. Really, you only get Yahoo Answers and Flickr images. There are no automated monetization methods and really it is only suitable if you are running adsense (not a good idea in my opinion) or banner ads.
Pro – the Pro version is what I used in the video demonstration. It’s got the lot. Full monetization methods and loads of features. Hands down, while it is in pre-launch this is the best buy.
